This state park offers over 4 miles of trails that lead through wetland and tall grass prairie terrain just north of the more well-known Pratt's Wayne Woods Forest Preserve. The state park provides additional natural area for exploration and outdoor recreation in a busy suburban setting. Wildlife viewing and birdwatching opportunities are abundant in the area due to the large amounts of preserved land in the area. The state park also offers interpretive programs and a visitor center that provide additional information regarding the state park.
